Experience & Interaction Designer

About Me

'I am Groot.'

My name is Minal and I am an Experience Designer. I’ve been designing for over 10 years and I’ve gained experience working alongside many outstanding designers and product developers.

I enjoy solving problems by empathizing the user needs and finding a solution that would impact them positively. I am passionate about interaction and visual design aesthetics. To pursue the same and enhance my skills, I did the Masters in Interaction design here in Switzerland. Over the years, with the practical knowledge and in-depth study in the field, I realized that a good solution comes out of thorough user research and testing high or low-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and cross-platform interactive prototypes with those users.

I have been working across the end-to-end design process, with a particularly keen interest in designing user journeys, information architecture, wireframing. In my spare time, I love doodling and stippling with a nice cup of coffee or green tea by my side.

DrinkIn

Smartphone App

‘Quantified Self’ is a system that allows self-knowledge through self-tracking. So I chose a topic where I design an app that would let you keep the track of all your liquid intake and help you analyse how hydrated or dehydrated you are.

When you are drinking an ice tea on a sunny day or a warm cup of coffee on a cold day in winter, you just have to feed this information to the DrinkIn app. By the end of the day, the app tells you how many and how much of the drinks you consumed and did it help to keep your body well hydrated or not. It specifically mentions about your water intake and promptly guides you whether to increase or decrease the amount.

SuperParents

Smartphone App

SuperParents is an application for the parents who need help in babysitting their children in safe hands. It could be the only social network of a kind, for the parents that promotes reciprocal volunteering through connecting their existing friends and family. SuperParents connects parents with the other parents within their network. Parents can request or offer help within their network.

Seeing the geographical area and the available parents within the network, is the key aspect while using the App.
